Gemstone is a piece of mineral crystal. Gemstones have played various roles in the myths and legends of human cultures throughout. Many minerals form beautiful crystals, but the most prized of all are gemstones. Uncut gems are often fairly ordinary looking. It is only when they are cut and polished that they obtain the brilliance and luster that makes them so valued. Historically gems have been divided into precious and semiprecious classes. There are a number of semiprecious gems, many quite beautiful, but diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds continue to qualify as “precious.”

The Alexandrite Gemstone :

It is often described by gem aficionados as “emerald by day, ruby by night,” alexandrite is the very rare color-change variety of the mineral chrysoberyl. Originally discovered in Russia’s Ural Mountains in the 1830s. It was named in honor of Alexandar Nicholavich, who was later to become the Russian Czar Alexander II. Legend has it that the gemstone was discovered on the future Czar’s birthday and named in his honor, though the factual nature of this is disputed. It is now found in Sri Lanka, East Africa, and Brazil, but fine material is exceptionally rare and valuable.

Amethyst Gemstone:

It is a violet variety of quartz often used in jewellery. The name comes from a reference to the belief that the stone protected its owner from drunkenness. The ancient Greeks wore amethyst and made drinking vessels decorated with it in the belief that it would prevent intoxication. It is one of several forms of quartz. Amethyst is a semiprecious stone and is the traditional birthstone for February. Amethyst is also a very popular gem for cutting into a variety of free form shapes. This is done by hand or by automated cutting. These so called fantasy or designer cuts can be mass produced or created as one-of-a-kind pieces.

Aquamarine Gemstone:

Aquamarine is a blue to green-blue variety of precious gemstone. The beryl group of minerals is most famous for chromium-rich, green emerald, which happens to be one of the precious stone. Although some buyers prefer the more greenish natural color, most of the aquamarine in the market was heat-treated to give it more of a pure blue. The gem is pleochroic, which means it shows different colors in different crystal directions—in the case of aquamarine, they are near-colorless and strong blue. Fortunately, the blue pleochroic color correspond.

Citirine Gemstone: 

This bright shining citirine gem has said to be a gift from the sun. The name Citrine, which is French for “lemon”, fits well with its color range of juicy lemon yellow to a bright orangery born. Pearl is a smooth, lustrous chiefly calcium carbonate organic gemstones. Natural pearls are nearly 100% nacre, a protective mother of pearl coating that is secreted to protect the organism for a foreign body that has entered the shell. Natural or real pearls come mainly from oysters. Pearls are obtained from the Sea. Pearls are available in different shapes and colors. Pearl is the Queen of Gems and an emblem of purity, innocence. Wearing pearl reduces anger and unwanted thoughts. It also brings wealth and happiness and stability in life. This is one stone anyone can wear and make fantastic ornaments.

Morganite is the pretty, peachy-pink variety of beryl, cousin to more familiar beryls like emerald and aquamarine. Morganite’s beautiful feminine colors are a result of the presence of manganese. After its discoveries in California and Madagascar in the early 20th century. It is used to made fashionable and traditional jewellery.
